Nedap Light Controls commits to UV
In 2022, Nedap will place more focus on the UV portfolio and less on the general lighting activities that include Luxon. There is global growth in demand for UV equipment and it is expected that the rising demand for Light Controls’ UV proposition continues. With regards to Luxon, the targeted growth acceleration has not materialized sufficiently. This has led to the decision to gradually phase out Luxon activities.
Development of the Luxon portfolio
Over the last 10 years, Nedap has used the Luxon brand to build a fine customer and product portfolio of connected lighting solutions. We will not add any new partners to our existing partner network. The focus of Nedap Light Controls will shift to UV for any new product development. To the Luxon portfolio, no new products will be added. Active marketing will be phased out.
This discision holds no consequences for the existing product portfolio and current contracts.
- The complete product portfolio remains available in accordance with Nedap’s quality and service standards.
- Guarantee and service obligations remain unchanged.
- Sales support and technical support remain available.
