Challenger: Driving towards a bright future with connected LED lighting

As one of Canada’s largest privately owned transportation and logistics companies, Challenger can transport goods between Canada and anywhere across North America as well as internationally with a full range of transportation, logistics, warehousing and distribution services.

As part of Challenger’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, the Cambridge, Ontario facility recently underwent a lighting retrofit, replacing old HID and Fluorescent lights with new intelligent LED luminaires. BJ Take High Bay LED Luminaires equipped with Nedap Wireless Controls were installed throughout the service, body and wash areas of the facility.
The new energy efficient lights provided an immediate energy savings, reducing annual energy consumption of the new LED Luminaires by an average of 24.2%. Use of the Nedap – Luxon Connected Lighting Management provides the ability to wirelessly control (dim / on / off) the new LED luminaires and provide the right amount of light when needed, saving and additional 30,388 kWh annually.
